Texas Hunting Seasons for LaSalle County
LASALLE – Cotulla (county seat) – 2010 Season
White-tailed Deer Hunting Season:
- General Open Season: November 6, 2010-January 16, 2011
- Special Late General Season: January 17-30, 2011 (antlerless and spike bucks only).
- Bag limit: 5 deer, no more than 3 bucks, all seasons combined.
- Archery Only: October 2-November 5, 2010.
- Bag limit: Same as the general season
- No permit required to hunt antlerless deer unless MLDP antlerless permits have been issued for the property.
Youth Hunting Open Season for White-tailed Deer
- Special Youth-Only Season: Early open season: October 30-31, 2010.
- Late open season: January 3-16, 2011.
- Bag limits, provision for the take of antlerless deer, and special requirements of the county, shall be as specified for the first 2 days of the general open season.
Licensed hunters 16 years of age or younger may hunt deer by any lawful means during this season.
Javelina Hunting Season:
- No closed season. Bag limit: 2 per license year.
Quail Hunting Season:
- Statewide: Open season: October 30, 2010-February 27, 2011
- Daily bag limit: 15 Possession limit: 45
Dove Hunting Season:
- The area east of IH 35 and north of State Highway 44 is in the “South Zone”.
- The remainder of the county is in the “Special White-winged Dove Area”
